Hiking to Tai Kar Luck via Farlim Block 4A trail (Starting Point Coordinates: 5°23'01.0"N 100°17'03.7"E). This is the trail oversee Air Itam/Farlim town and it is the trail that linked to Botak Hill, Bukit Hijau, Bukit Gambir and etcetera. It’s  an easy and exciting work out trail. It takes approx. 45 minutes relax hike to reach at the Tai Kar Luck station 1 and another 5 minutes at station 2 (tai Kar Luck Leisure Forest大家乐休闲林). It is a relaxation station that you can enjoy with nature environment.

Hiking to station 45 via Batu Gantung  trail (Starting Point Coordinates: 5°24'56.6"N 100°17'31.1"E). This is a slope bending path and may be exhausting for some, it takes approx. 40 minutes to reach at the station 45 depend on your stamina and speed and may be less for some.  The panorama view of Georgetown and Ayer Itam/Farlim are the rewards. Penang Bridge is also visibly clearly. You can proceed to station 39 then after. Actually, it is a private farm cum station. There are varieties of fruit trees and very well maintained. Hikers are advised to hike with utmost morality.

Along the way you will also enjoy watching the surprisingly beautiful greenery paddy fields. There are also beautiful and characteristic Malay houses. There is also a tsunami monument to commemorate the 2004 tsunami.

Hiking 328 Berapit Hill (coordinates: 5.364518, 100.468285) at Jalan Kampung Besar, Bukit Mertajam.  A new spot for family’s hiking in Butterworth. There are many families with kids visited the spot.  Basically, it is a bicycle and motorcycle trail. It takes 20 minutes to reach at the sight. Thereafter, a  328-steps rainbow stairway to the top. At the top, there are many animals statues displayed for the photo taking. Hiking up is a good work out because certain portions are sloppy. It will be very slippery when raining. Having a pair of work out shoe is highly recommended.
